23 days till I am on a plane headed out to Thailand!

Finals are kicking my ass. Two projects are due today, and I am just exausted. I have been real sick lately and not been able to do that much which has put me drastically behind with school work. It'll all be over thursday though, and I will be halfway through my college career. A little scary huh.

I found a company I want to work for: Patagonia. Environmentally friendly, service oriented, and an adventure clothing line company. What could be better?

So um, trekking in Tibet turns out to be enormously expensive. My guide book does give us hints on how to sneak into Lhasa though ;o) however I would really not like to spend my vacation in a chinese jail cell so I will be going through a tourist trekking company. But one that is porter friendly. It is so sad to imagine those poor porters just trying to make a living and being taken advantage of so horribly. Maybe I'll stay there and do human rights activism. I am sure my father would LOVE that one.

I think I seriously damaged my head! Well, Meagan and I were sumo wrestling...yes, thats right, with the big suits on and everything. Well I fell and the ground being as hard as it normally is in a gym REALLY hurt. My head and neck still hurt 2 days later. But I am sure there are some good pictures of us making fools out of ourselves. I have a henna tattoo of a butterfly on my wrist and its really fun! I think i am gonna break out the craftiness again and mix up some of my own and go at it. I saw the Samples play... apparently they are just "SO great!" but I wasn't overly impressed. I was still sullen from not being able to hear Dispatch again. Got a few free t-shirts and a nice o's mug out of the deal though. A gravitron is really fun when there is only two people on it!

I have so much to do recently I can't keep things straight. Between class, projects, finals, lectures, OAE, and of course alcohol, there is little time to just hang out. Of course that doesnt stop me though . Sunday I was sopposed to be taking a short power nap because I had so many meetings and tests the next day, but I managed to sleep for over two hours until Andrew came and woke me up. So he made me dinner :o) while I blabbered on about my head injury and apparent inability to do things in a timely manner. We got caught up in an AMAZING show on the discovery channel about the emergence of man and "eve". It was incredibly interesting and before I realized it I had already missed one meeting and was late for the next. So I left Andrew on out couch and booked it to my Spanish meeting. I am awsome at memorizing lines in spanish! I was way overprepared which made up for the fact that i was late.

Ok...enough blabblering...i am off to a lecture on "Nickle and Dimed: on NOT getting by in America"

Just came back from the sophmore 'semi' formal... palm trees, a kiddie pool, twister, daquaries, and hot dance grooves! It was so much fun hanging out with all the girls. Its the first weekend at school in a while.

Say Anything is the cutest movie ever! I want a guy just like john Cusaks character! How wonderful is a love story like that. I am just waiting for my life to get there.

I played my violin for about 2 hours tonight. My fingers hurt. My new goal is to learn how to fiddle. Its gonna be fun!

I am in the mood for the screaming game now.... Everyone lines up in a big field....takes a deep breath, and on the count of three starts screaming and runs till their breath wears all out. Its refreshing :o)

Kayaking never happened but I spent a lovely afternoon in Harpers Ferry with Andrew and Libby for a scavenger hunt. It just sucks that it didnt work out the way it was planned. This weekend I am going caving with Tony! Its gonna be so much fun! Check out the Outdoor Adventure Program at Loyola ... the pics are up too...i'm in a few, but the leadership page is the funniest!

Well thursday was utterly exausting! I spent 5 hours in the pool kayaking. Roll after roll, hip thrust anfter hip thrust, and wet entry after wet entry. I am heading out this afternoon for our training on Saterday.

I went kayaking this morning....didn't drown so I guess I did all right ;o) It was a lot of fun although my knees are bruised up. I can't wait till this weekend! We are going to Manedoquin and hitting up the C&) canal near Harpers Ferry to practice our stuff.

Sunday is thailand info meeting! Less than two months to go till i leave!
